T.L. started his legal career working as an assistant district attorney for the District Attorney of New York County (Manhattan). In 2003, he joined a large Detroit law firm and began his career as a civil litigator. Over the years, he has successfully handled high-stakes litigation for clients large and small in a variety of real estate and business and commercial lawsuits, including claims for breach of contract, limited liability company member oppression and breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of commercial construction and real estate development agreements. T.L. has also represented municipal entities and subdivisions in construction and related disputes, financial institutions in mortgage and consumer credit disputes, and landowners in premises liability actions. He has also counseled business owners and entrepreneurs on matters ranging from entity formation to litigation avoidance strategies.
An active member of the local legal community, T.L. is a former president of the Wolverine Bar Association, has served on the Commercial Litigation Committee of the State Bar of Michigan’s Business Law Section, and is a member of the American Bar Association. A father of two, T.L. resides with his wife in Oakland County, Michigan.
