Michael Price is an experienced litigator who concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation, including contract, business tort, and employment disputes. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Price served as a judicial law clerk to Justice Marilyn J. Kelley of the Michigan Supreme Court, and as a pre-hearing attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Experience Includes

  • Acted as lead arbitration counsel in successful defense of contract claim by service supplier, including recovery of arbitration costs and attorney fees in final arbitration award
  • Obtained summary disposition of intentional tort claim on behalf of Tier I supplier
  • Participated as lead writer on litigation team that obtained summary disposition in successful defense of contract claim seeking damages in excess of $1,000,000
  • Participated on team that obtained summary judgment against national insurance company, entitling client to lifetime disability benefits
  • Acted as lead trial counsel for defense in action filed under Michigan Sales Representative Commissions Act, resulting in negligible jury verdict despite absence of client at trial
  • Participated on trial team that successfully defended an automotive manufacturer against a $27 million dollar suit based on breach of contract and quasi-contract claims
  • Obtained $4.6 million judgment on behalf of a property management company based on embezzlement and breach of fiduciary duty claims
  • Participated in arbitration team that obtained nearly $1 million arbitration award in favor of automotive manufacturer against former executive employee
  • Participated on trial team that successfully defended local social club against variety of employment claims filed by international performer
  • Successfully defended employers against variety of EEOC charges and employment claims
  • Successfully enforced non-competition agreements on behalf of employers
