Josh Zeman concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation. These cases typically involve contract disputes and related business torts in a variety of industries, with an emphasis on automotive supply-chain disputes. Before entering private practice, Josh clerked for Judge Mark A. Goldsmith in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and worked as a research attorney at the Michigan Court of Appeals. Josh draws on his experience working in the judiciary to provide clients with an objective evaluation of their cases and to achieve the best possible results. Josh previously worked at a national law firm and represents clients in federal and state courts and in arbitrations, both in Michigan and across the country.

 

Recent Experience Includes:

 

  • Obtained summary judgment for a Tier I automotive supplier in a case involving several breach of contract and business tort claims
  • Successfully represented a Tier I automotive supplier in multiple high-stakes supply-chain disputes, including defeating motions to dismiss and for injunctive relief
  • Obtained summary judgment for a Tier I automotive supplier in a product liability litigation and successfully resolved a related commercial claim
  • Obtained summary disposition in a complex construction litigation
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of national insurer in multiple litigations
  • Obtained an arbitration award and dismissal of all opposing claims in a construction litigation
  • Successfully represented multiple pro bono clients, including obtaining summary judgment on a claim brought under 42 U.S.C. ยง 1983, obtaining a writ of habeas corpus, and a successful ruling in the Board of Immigration Appeals.
